Wildwood Restaurant and Bar
With a limited time frame and budget we created a simple but effective redesign of Wildwood restaurant. The original space was off white, taupe, and sage green, with bold colorful art and tired upholstery. Our goal was to simplify the surroundings and bring the focus on the food, which is delicious. We chose a warm dark grey for the walls and ceilings which helps to soften the angles of the soffits and camouflage the visible ductwork. We chose the same color for the new upholstery. A custom walnut bench provides seating at the entry and the same wood is echoed
in the new hostess stand and comfortable curvy bar stools. Warm grey velvet curtains help divide the bar from the entry. The main new decorative element is the lighting, which is handmade pottery by Heather Levine turned into pendant lights. Each piece is different, subtly colored and casting it’s own playful shadows on the otherwise simple space. The new look is complemented by organically shaped wall hangings made from recycled wood lath by local craft artist Allen Kinast. The result is peaceful, warm, and inviting. . . an elegant backdrop to a wonderful meal.
