San Francisco Tudor

We’re working on a complete remodel of this Tudor house in San Francisco’s beautiful Cole Valley neighborhood. The remodel will include a conversion of both the ground level and the attic into habitable space as we seek to bring efficiency to this growing family’s home.

Sauvie Island Houseboat

A total remodel of a 700 square foot houseboat located on the serene Sauvie Island, just outside of Portland. We will make the space more livable and efficient for the owner, create opportunities for entertaining and guest space, and add new openings to take advantage of the lovely river view.

Walla Walla Home

A modern new construction home in Walla Walla, WA. The site is an 80-acre site which faces the Blue Mountains to the east, the Columbia Gorge to the south and west, and a creek to the north. The initial architecture was done by Yianni Doulis Architecture and we’ve joined the project to bring life to the interiors by looking at cabinetry, materials and lighting. The clients have a clean modern aesthetic and prefer things to be industrial in detailing. We’re creating cohesion between the exterior and interior by keeping the palette simple, emphasizing asymmetry, and using the lighting to highlight the interesting architecture.

Ann Arbor Apartment Community

We’re pleased to announce our collaboration with Urban Group Development, VOA Architects, and InSite Design Landscape Architects, on this new apartment building located near downtown Ann Arbor, MI. With the intent to provide condo-quality living to renters, these apartments will feature a modern industrial design with large windows, quality fixtures, and functional layouts. The building will also offer a host of amenities, including indoor and outdoor gathering spaces, to help foster community among residents.

Brooklyn Home

We’ve been hired to furnish a recently renovated modern brownstone in the Ft Green neighborhood in Brooklyn, New York. The young clients are artistic and love to travel and have requested bold interiors that feel eclectic. We’re running with the request and designing without pulling in the reigns too much. We’re excited to see how this project progresses as it’s an exciting departure from our usual aesthetic.

El Corazon

We are collaborating with chef Chris Israel and ChefStable’s Kurt Huffman to design the interiors of a new mexican restaurant which will be in the base of the Indigo building, in the space formerly occupied by Pinto American Brasserie. The design will be simple and modern in feeling, though inspired by the traditional handicrafts of Mexico.

Ketchikan Dental

We’re designing a pediatric dental office in a beautiful setting, right on the Tongrass Narrows channel in Ketchikan, Alaska. By pulling inspiration from regional materials and textures, the palette will be natural and tactile. We will also maximize day lighting opportunities and add playful pops of color to the space to make it appealing to both children and adults.

Library House

We are remodeling the tiny historic Sellwood Library into a playful, slightly unconventional residence that will respect and celebrate the history of the building while serving the needs of the new owner. Sellwood Library story

Mount Tabor Tudor

We are doing a complete interior remodel of this lovely turn-of-the-century tudor house that sits on a full acre of beautifully landscaped gardens adjacent to Portland’s Mount Tabor park. Our work includes a full kitchen remodel and remodels of the existing baths, as well as new furniture and lighting throughout.

Net-zero Renovation

A complete remodel of a 1950s-era house in Southwest Portland. The house sits back from the street on several acres of land. The first phase of design was done by Nathan Good Architects. We are completing the interiors, focusing on materials, cabinetry, lighting and furniture, as well as refining some of the space planning. The project is an interesting departure from our usual work. Entirely free of straight lines, the house features curving walls, softened angles and even curvilinear tiles that our office is custom-designing. Through the use of photovoltaic panels, triple-glazed windows, and very efficient insulation, the house will achieve "net zero" status, producing all of its own energy.

Northwest Hill House

We are remodeling the interior of this house that sits on a beautifully landscaped and forested lot in the northwest hills of Portland. The interiors were remodeled inconsistently over time, and we are working to bring them together in a way that reflects the simple, natural, rustic look of the exterior while furnishing them to reflect our client’s love of fresh, bold modern design.

Parliament Offices

Parliament Design’s current office received lots of attention for its bold and innovative design. We feel fortunate to team up with Parliament and LSW Architects’ Casey Wycoff on the design of this creative company’s new space in downtown Portland.

The new location, a completely gutted, turn-of-the-century brick building, offers heaps of potential. Ideas generated in the schematic design phase include a roof garden, a skylit atrium, and wall treatments incorporating preserved layers of existing wallpaper. www.parliamentdesign.com
